a silence i cant ignore
drips like thoughts
as i spend
time with my uninvited self

i sit, waiting, wanting
yearning, burning
for answers
answers to the relentless
questions of why
why, how, why

i feel nothing
it is empty and lonely
at the bottom
the only salvation i
seek is sleep
sleep, deep
